IslandWorks Precision Intake for Porsche 964 and 993

Product Overview:

Transform your Porsche 964's performance with the sleek and high-tech IslandWorks intake kit designed for Porsche 964/993. This innovation marks a transition from the typical wire-based throttle to an electronic "drive by wire" (DBW) throttle body. This advanced change streamlines the intake system by eliminating unnecessary components, resulting in a cleaner engine bay appearance. The modernization offers a more drivable setup for highly tuned engines while incorporating the precision of a DBW throttle.

This enhanced drivability is a key feature for a tuned aircooled engine and allows for a smooth idle control with cold as well as hot engine. It simply makes the engine feel more modern as compared to the old ITB (individual throttle bodies) setups lacking in mid range torque and difficulties with the idle control.

This intake now features two possible executions:

1. The first of them being a complete intake with all the parts seen in the image manufactured from modified PA12 using an industrial process. This intake plenum has been optimized to fit on a Porsche 964 or Porsche 993 and includes all vacuum ports for both brake vacuum and to maneuver the resonance flap.
2. The upper intake and intake runners as a kit to convert a cast aluminum intake from a Porsche 996 GT3 to fit on a Porsche 964 or Porsche 993.

The performance of the two versions is the same with the difference that the IslandWorks plenum is further adapted and optimized to fit better to a Porsche 964/993.
