- Born from Singular Passion

At IslandWorks, our story began on the beautiful west coast of Sweden, fueled by a deep passion for the Porsche 964. In 2015, we acquired a 1990 C4, setting out on a journey that would transform a personal project into a full-fledged commitment to pushing the boundaries of motorsport engineering. Our initial goal was ambitious: to shed 200kg of weight and convert the car from a C4 to a C2 by the end of 2019. This challenge ignited our relentless pursuit of excellence, driving us to explore new innovations and techniques, often by utilising 3D printing technology. Over the years, what started as a singular focus on one car has evolved into a broader mission to deliver the very best in precision engineering, merging our love for classic Porsches with advanced technology and a dedication to perfection.

Transforming the Porsche 964

  • CLASSIC

    The wide-bodied Porsche 964 leaves little to be desired, and is a modern classic in itself. Our project aims to embody the apperance of a RSR on the outside, with a slightly exaggerated aero kit keeping the wheels down firmly on the ground.

  • MODERN

    While the 964 might have been ahead of it's competitors when it first came out it's still a car from the early 90's. With a full strip we're revolutionizing every piece of the electronics interface making it a modern classic.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT

    Initially, our objective was to trim 200kg from a lean 964 C4. Now, we're well past 300 progressing towards achieving a three-digit dry weight while surpassing 350 horsepower without forced induction.

At IslandWorks, 3D printing is at the heart of our product development process. By experimenting with various 3D-printed prototypes, we refine our engineering to achieve unmatched precision. 3D printing has been instrumental in our journey, enabling us to innovate and create products that wouldn't be possible otherwise.
